An Open Letter From The Girl Who Used To Be In The Spotlight

Hey You,

There are days you wish it you instead -someone’s top priority, someone that can only remind them of something, someone who stays under pressure and someone who drives his/her own life.

You assess yourself. You think about what went wrong – or have you done something right? You flashback, when you are in the spotlight, illuminated by the light of triumph. But the very bright bulb can also lose it. It’ll turn dim and soon, it’ll be dark, sad and gloomy. You keep on trying, for it to ignite or bring back just a little spark. But as you force it, everything burst into flames. You keep on trying until it’s gone. You are suddenly forgotten, vanished into thin air of smoke and nothingness.

There’s no point in making up for lost time and moment of what has gone and passed by. You become tired of thinking and catching up of these missed opportunities. You do not need to apologize for not being enough. You do not need to explain for who you want to be and what you want to do. You do not have to please the persons who thought of you differently. You may have heard this tons of times before but, you are fine just being yourself. You will be okay being YOU.

I hope you soon remember that it was you who wanted to stay out of it. It was you who wanted to get rid of it. It was you who rejected them. It was you who pushed away the persons who once was there and who cared for you.

I know how vastly you wanted to change your life. It may not be done with just a snap of your finger, you just have to live and forget the missed opportunities for the mean time. Because in this missed opportunities, you’ll know what is best for you. You just have to wait and see, someone will wish they are you instead.

From the girl who was once always in the spotlight.
